Le Poire is an abstract representation of a pear. Using contemporary movement and text, the piece attempts to bring the audience as close to the experience of a pear as possible. The piece is inspired by the book “Beatrice and Virgil” by Yann Martel, and by Albrect Durer’s “Rhinoceros”. The piece plays with the theme of memory, the never experienced, and the challenge of imparting experience to another.
