Van Banks is an artist working in the Atlanta dance community and beyond. Drawing from
classical training and contemporary frameworks, Banks’s work examines the human condition
and its evolving dimensions.

ANDIE KNUDSON
title of dance theatre work: of doubtful authenticity
of doubtful authenticity continues my ongoing solo research exploring themes of belief, doubt, and resurrection through a collection of embodied parables. Some days the work presents as an abstracted memoir, other days it is decidedly fiction—most truthfully, it lives somewhere in between.

Andie is a movement artist who thrives in the realms of performance, choreography, and education. Her creative practice is grounded in both thematic research and creative impulse, frequently exploring the complex dynamics between spirituality, identity, and belonging, challenging the limitations we submit to within each of these realms.

Madeline(mad) O’Brien is an interdisciplinary dance artist and teacher based in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in the cold, fast-paced city of Boston and attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts—an experience that ignited her love for the South. She is grateful to be a part of Atlanta’s flourishing dance community and is so excited to take part in Excuse the Art.

Versaille Jones (they) is a performer and choreographer based in the Atlanta area. As an artist Versaille has presented work for Dance Canvas CCDI and summer residency, Oregon Fringe Festival, Decatur School of Ballet's Meli Kaye Residency, Houston Barnstorm, and Spoke the Hub NY. Versaille is a graduate of the University of the Arts and a current grad student for Reinhardt University's MFA choreography program.
