Floor Story Inaugural Performance

Come be apart of Fly on a Wall's Inaugural Performance of Floor Story! A new program created by Fly on a Wall Team Member, Nicole Johnson, where you'll experience original works by: Armani Mitchell, Mya Lavender, Sydney Ware, and Denver Johnson. 

• Thursday, May 25th at 7pm with a reception to follow. 
• Free and open to the public! Just register to reserve your spot.

**There is a small free parking lot at Windmill Arts. There is also free residential street parking along Thompson Street, adjacent to Windmill Arts. Please do not park in any surroudning business parking lots.** 

Floor Story is a program designed to give young artists the tools and resources to help develop their unique voices and share their stories, with a focus on prioritizing the stories of those less commonly heard from in the cultural narrative of the United States. Participants will be encouraged to expand their view of the creative process through research, writing, conversation with peers, and individual mentorship. Those selected will have opportunities to learn from artists working in mediums such as dance, poetry, costuming, music/sound installation, film, etc.

Floor Story seeks to support young artists reaching towards a deeper understanding of themselves, and who are open to experiencing new creative opportunities. This individual should be ready to commit to an extended process that will conclude this May with a performance at the Windmill Arts Center in East Point.
